This is a pic I worked on randomly throughout the winter vacation whenever I had free time to draw in the school's lab. I finished the overall drawing today so I made this to show the process of how it all came together.
1.The sketch comes first. I just mess around very sloppily and try to follow whatever image is in my head until something possible shows up. 2. Then I draw a dark official line over the sketches to finalize my idea. This is just like the first stage only I have to be a little more careful and accurate as this will be visible in the final stage. 3.The next stages vary depending on the piece itself and how I feel like finishing it. Stage 3 and 4 are the points where I fill in grays and black, and then color, respectively. 4. This is where I put in red and skin color and look over anything else that needs cleaning up.
Enjoy the final image of the character. From here I can make a scenery and put the character in it if I want.
Not often, but I want to be. So whenever I'm on campus and I have some free time, I choose that lab as my retreat. I drew most of this pic during finals week after each final.

Everything that I'm not has been sacrificed for having music. And it's actually quite alot. It sounds extreme, but I don't know why I'd want to live if I didn't have this job. It's one task, one craft, one mission, and it's one life. -Utada Hikaru
